How It Works
The IonCleanse by AMD uses a proprietary dual-polarity electrode array to produce an electrical current in a saltwater solution - a process called electrolysis. When activated, the control unit sends a small direct current through the array, which causes the metals, salt, and water to interact and produce positively and negatively charged ions.

These ions help neutralize toxins and charged particles in the body. Once neutralized, the particles are pulled out of the body through the feet using osmosis and diffusion.

Who Should NOT Use the Detox Footbath

  • Take insulin or are diabetic

  • Take medications for severe mental or physical impairments (e.g., seizures, psychosis)
  • Have open wounds or skin infections on the feet
  • ⚠️ Special note: If you have a metal joint implant, you may feel discomfort during a footbath. Please let us know in advance so we can discuss your options.
After Your Footbath: What to Expect
After your session, it’s important to continue supporting your body’s detoxification process:
  • ✅ Drink plenty of water
  • 🥗 Eat a light, nutritious meal
  • 🚫 Avoid processed foods, caffeine, and alcohol for the next 24 hours   (if possible)

Recommended Frequency
To maximize results, follow the recommended schedule based on your age:
Ages 14–50:
  • 3 sessions per week
  • Break after 14 sessions: Take a 3-week break, then reassess
Ages 50+:
  • 2 sessions per week
  • Break after 14 sessions: Take a 2-week break, then reassess

After your break, you can choose to begin another cycle or move into a maintenance schedule. The 14 sessions constitute a complete cycle.

Each appointment includes:
  • Prep and wrap-up time
  • Up to 30 minutes of active footbath time
  • Total session time: Up to 45 minutes

Booking Your Appointment
You can schedule your appointment in one of two ways:
  • Online Booking: Available for appointments up to 60 days in advance and must be made at least 3 days before your desired time. A credit card is required to reserve your appointment online. This card will only be charged a $20 fee if you fail to give a 24 hour cancelation or reschedule notice.  
  • Text or Call: Contact the studio at (205) 378-9718.  Text is preferred but, if calling and I'm unable to answer, please leave a voicemail, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
